Preface:

In the moments when we can’t believe, in those situations when we lack any strength to hold on, He is there! In the darkness when it all goes dim and we can’t seem to find the breath anymore, He is there! When life falls apart and your plans are scrapped, the tears fall and become your food, He is there! As your hands shake and you can’t believe what is taking place right before your eyes, He is there!

Begin Conversation:

Alone now, everyone has left and I am left alone with my thoughts. I try to take comfort in the words spoken tonight, but I am losing them as soon as they have gotten into their cars and left. God are you there? Why did this happen? How could this be within your plan for me? How can I go on alone now? What just happened?

My child, I know that you don’t understand right now. I know how deeply your heart aches right now. Take time to breathe, slowly. You are still in my Hands, I have not let you go. Trust Me. I AM the One who will carry you through this. The pain, though very real will fade. Just wait and see what I have unfolding for you. You will see that I do know what I AM doing! Just trust Me.

As I sit here, I swear I don’t know what You are up to. How can this be for my good? Are you kidding me with this right now! You have left me alone now. How can I begin to pick up the pieces of this broken life?

Child, Please. Do you not know that I felt just as you did when all of my friends left me? I was alone with My Father, just as you are now.

But that is no consolation to me. My dreams are crushed.

Child, you do not know yet what I have in store for you and how much better it will be when you get there! Come, you will see. Your plans would not have worked out the way you wanted them to. For I have many miles for you to travel with me. There will be many opportunities for you to Trust Me but they all hinge on this one, right now! Will you come with me?

Well, I guess I don’t have much choice now do I?

NO, the choice is still yours. You can stay here and wallow in this grief. You can stay here and blame Me! You can live out your days and become bitter and untrusting and never find the Love you’ve been looking for.

Wait, don’t go! I need You. I can’t do this on my own! Please..

You’re right, you can do nothing without Me. The first answer as to why I brought you here. This was the only way I could get your attention.

Ok, well I’m starting to understand. What will we do next?

Just spend some time with Me. Rest. Relax. You’ve been trying to handle everything on your own for so long. Search the Scriptures. They are about Me! Come to know Me! You will see my True Nature within those pages. You will come to love Me, because I first Loved you. You will learn that your days will go better as you become more obedient and learn My Voice. Follow Me. You will come to see that I did this because of My Love for you, not to punish you.

Ok Father, I think I’m beginning to get it. So Your Will be done? Your Kingdom come?

Yes that’s it. One step at a time. Don’t rush these lessons. They will come as we walk together. Stay close and it will go well with you. My Love will not Fail you. I will not let you go. I formed your heart. You are precious to Me. I delight in you. I sing over you as you sleep. I have never done anything else but Love you. Follow Me!
